Report: China-based company to build 1,000 apartments in Jersey City

A Chinese construction company has reached a tentative agreement to buy a Jersey City property where it will build a 1,000-unit apartment complex with a view of the Hudson River, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Jersey City officials hailing embankment ruling as 'clear win'

"A federal judge last week ruled that the Sixth Street Embankment in Jersey City is indeed a rail line, a decision that city officials believe could lead to the city someday owning the disputed property.
Mayor Steve Fulop hailed the Sept. 30 ruling as “another clear win” for the city, which wants to transform some of the elevated abandoned rail line into a public park similar to the High Line in Manhattan".

Condo in Jersey City sells for $2.8 million, sets record

"One of the  last available units at K. Hovnanian's 77 Hudson, the 49-story residential building on the waterfront, has sold for a cool $2.8 million. 

This sale marks the highest price ever paid for a residential condominium in Jersey City, according to 77 Hudson's broker Scott Waldman".
